A Question from The Nightmare

A little audience participation if you please...

You ever wonder why so called peace activists always protest against "American violence" in the middle east and not the violence perpetrated by the terrorists?

Have you ever seen a protestor with a sign against bin Laden? How about a sign saying something against Islamo-Fascism? How about a nice chant like, "1-2-3-4, we don't want your Jihadist war!"

Why do the purveyors of peace blame America for the violence in the Middle East? Are they incapable of recognizing the facts?

I know the answer to the questions I've asked here, but I'm wondering if you do. I'm going to leave this post up for a while and I'm really interested in your take on the questions I've asked. Please post them in the comments.

Damn Russians!

I realize I've been gone for a while, busy with work and home and trying very hard not to smoke. But I woke up early this morning, Mother Goose is working and the kids are sleeping so I hit the Net. So it's just you and me and I keep finding things that you need to see.

You should read this article:

"The Pentagon firmly believes that the Russian government gave Iraq President Saddam Hussein United States strategic war plans for the invasion of Iraq."

What the hell? I thought the Russians were our friends now? I knew we couldn't trust them!

Hillary Invokes Scripture?

Now I know we're going straight to hell...

In response to a Republican proposal on immagration this past week, Maddam Hillary spoke out against it. And I kid you not, she spoke out against it in terms of biblical scripture...

Maddam Hillary on the Bill that will criminalize illegal immigrants:

"It is certainly not in keeping with my understanding of the Scriptures, because this bill would literally criminalize the Good Samaritan and probably even Jesus himself."

How dare we consider criminalizing people that are breaking the law? What the hell are we thinking?

This scripture comment is a trick commonly used by liberals. The moral spin on a political issue. They, when it suits them, invoke God for their political desires such as immigration, taxes, and welfare. But at the same time, they politicize their moral issues, such as gay marriage and abortion. Proving once again that to be a liberal you must have an upside down and back to front view of the world.

And a side note, what happened to the separation of church and state? I thought libs demanded that God had no place in government. Hey Hillary! In case you forgot, YOU'RE A FREAKING LIBERAL!

Why America Will Become a Socialist Nation

I know, I hate the very thought of it myself...

Every once in a while, you come across an article that when you read you think to yourself, "This guy gets it." This is on of those times. If you've read anything on the Nightmare, you realize that I despise socialism. The idea of government dependency just makes me insane. Tony DiPasquale wrote this piece, and I think it's worth sharing. And you really need to read it and not just glance over it. And if you disagree with this piece in any way, please comment because I really want to discuss this:

Several years ago, while living in New York, a friend from church told me an interesting story from her childhood in Cuba. As her story goes, a grade school teacher told the class to put their heads down and pray to God for candy. As expected, the children immediately lowered their heads in hopes of the sweet treats that would follow. Of course, when they raised their head they did so in disappointment, seeing no candy lying before them. At this point the teacher told the students to again lower their heads, but this time to ask Fidel Castro for candy. Surprise, surprise, when the kids lifted their heads they found candy in front of each of them.

So what is the purpose of this story, to tell you that Fidel has a "sweet" spot in his heart for children? Certainly not! But is this not similar to the action the Democrats are perpetrating upon the American people? Constantly we are told by Democrats to put our faith in them (by this they mean vote) and in return they will give us the "candy" of socialized medicine, security in retirement, and any other program that will leave us dependent upon government.

Even the late Norman Thomas, who was elated when he saw FDR embrace and even introduce many of the policies he had advocated in his run for President under the Socialist Party banner, was aware of the transformation of the Democrat Party. In fact he has been quoted as saying:

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." Norman Thomas, former U.S. Socialist Presidential Candidate

Bush Was Right, Again

New friend of The Nightmare, The Mild Mannered Citizen, has a good post on the truth about WMD and some recently revealed Iraqi documents:

New Iraqi Documents Show Bush Didn’t ‘Lie’

Newly translated Iraqi documents from Saddam Hussein’s regime show that President Bush was factually accurate when he told the nation in his 2003 State of the Union Address that Iraq had recently sought uranium from Africa.

Bush’s 16-word statement had formed the basis for the claim adopted by administration critics that “Bush lied” about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction programs.

But according to the Washington Times today, an unnamed U.S. official reports that “newly translated Iraqi documents . . . tell of Saddam seeking uranium from Africa in the mid-1990s.”
The documents also speak of burying prohibited missiles, a government official familiar with the declassification process told the paper.

Did the KGB help plan America’s FISA Court?

Well, isn't that a nice thought...

I know, I know, the Soviet Union is dead and they're supposed to be our friends now, bla bla bla... But this is a very interesting read. Gerard Jackson has done this piece - Did the KGB help plan America’s Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act? - and it frankly scares the hell out of me. I'm a relatively intelligent man and when I read something like this, I think to myself, "my God, what if that is true."

This is something every American should read. There are so many things going on right now, there are so many anti-Americans out there that would love nothing more than to see this country falter. Frankly, it scares me that some of those America-hating hippies from the 60's are now very influencial and "respectable" individuals. They're starting think-tanks, and political actions committees that actually have influence. And the average joe-blow American is just punching his time card, obvlivious to what can happen.

I know, I'm sounding a little paranoid, and perhaps it's lack of niccatine, but this is really disturbing. Read it.

I'm Back Baby, I'm Back!

Well, sort of. I'm not quite the same...

You may or may not have noticed, I've been out of site for the last week or so. This was due to a five day stay in the local hospital for an un-disclosed illness. (You don't want to read about it anyway) Let's just say it was extremely painful and I'm very glad it's over and I'm very glad to be home.

Now, having had to quit smoking while "incarcerated" by illness, I've decided to quit for good. AND I'M NOT VERY HAPPY ABOUT IT! Sorry... Yes, I'm quitting smoking. As much as I do not want to, I know I need to. So Mother Goose and I are both giving it up. We're really looking forward to sticking it to the government by not paying them their daily tax!

The problem with no longer smoking is, quite frankly, liberals. Liberals make me nuts. Just watching the CBS Evening News was enough to have me firing up 2 or 3 cigarettes in a 30 minute period. Obviously, I won't be watching the CBS Evening News any more. I may have a real problem staying focused on politics because when I start going off on liberals, I have a tendency to fire up. So I don't know how this is going to play out on the Nightmare. If I suddenly scream in ALL CAPS, you'll know I'm fighting the urge to smoke. So bear with me as I try to kick the most wonderful habit in all of history... I MEAN A VERY DISGUSTING HABIT THAT COSTS ME A FORTUNE IN TAXES!

Oh boy. This isn't going to be fun. But it needs to happen so I'm going to give it my best. Some things I'll have to avoid...

Those annoying people at work that can't find their ass with both hands and a map (and they're usually liberal)

Anyway, I'll do my best to continue to lead the War on Liberalism, but I may need your support because here it is, day 8 of no smoking, AND I'M HAVING A REALLY HARD TIME!
