Newt Says 'This is World War Three'

And we need to listen to him...

OK, back in the 90's, I was a huge Newt Gingrich supporter. I read his book, "To Renew America" and I was convinced this is not only one of the smartest political minds of our time, but someone that has the right ideas to move the country forward. A few years later, his personal failures really ticked me off and I was off the Newt bandwagon. But I gotta tell you, he is still one of the smartest political minds and as far as conservatism goes, he has the answers. I'm not willing to endorse him for President at this point as speculation of a Newt campaign is growing, but I will listen when he speaks. And he has spoken.

Our leadership is failing us? I'm shocked...

This is where politics really pisses me off. If you ask me, it's practically 1938 all over again. There is real evil in this world and it is alive and well. And so many of us keep sticking our heads back into the sand hoping the problem will just go away. And we're sticking our head in the sand because war is inevitably unpopular. So many of our leaders in Congress do not want to face the cold hard reality that we are dealing with an enemy that wants to destroy America. They want to keep their heads in the sand, have talks with these people and find a solution to our differences. The difference thatseparatee us prevent their side from finding common ground. Their religious beliefs forbid it. Why can't we see that?

According to Newt:

Gingrich explained that "today is not the fifth day of the war, it's the 58th year of the effort by those who want to destroy Israel. As Ahmadinejad, the head of Iran, says, he wants to defeat the Americans and eliminate Israel from the face of the earth. So we should not see this event in isolation. There is an . . . Iran/Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas alliance trying to destroy Israel."

"The Israelis withdrew from Gaza to create the circumstance of peace. The Israelis withdrew from south Lebanon to create the circumstance of peace," Gingrich continued. "They now have a thousand missiles fired from Gaza, they've had hundreds of missiles fired from south Lebanon. You clearly have Iranian involvement. There are at least 400 Iranian guards in south Lebanon. Apparently it was an Iranian missile fired by Iranians which hit an Israeli warship yesterday. The United States should be saying to Syria and Iran, 'South Lebanon is going to be cleared out. We are for Israel and the Lebanese government breaking the back of Hezbollah, getting rid of all 10,000 to 13,000 missiles, and we will decisively stop any effort by Syria and Iran to intervene.'"

You need to read the entire article, but I want to make sure you read this part. Gingrich said:

"I believe if you take all the countries I just listed, that you've been covering, put them on a map, look at all the different connectivity, you'd have to say to yourself this is, in fact, World War III."

Iranian Hezbollah has stated they welcome war with the United States. I say, we give them what they want. I say bomb the shit out of them and get it over with. The longer we wait, the more we attempt to appease, the stronger they grow. I'm sure, in 1938, some were saying we should take out Hitler. Too bad the world didn't know then what we know now. Appeasing people that want you dead serves no purpose. It only makes you appear weak. And weakness in the eyes of your enemy only serves as motivation for your enemy. We stand strong, we win. It's that simple.

Greetings from North Myrtle Beach

Life is good...

I gotta tell ya, until you sit on a warm beach, sucking down cold margaritas, you just haven't lived. Mother Goose and I brought our two kids and two of their friends down here to Little River South Carolina, home of the World Famous Blue Crab Festival. This was their first trip to the ocean and they absolutely love it. We're staying in a condo that sits right on the Inter-Coastal Water way and we're about a 7 minute drive from the beach. It's amazing how good life can be when you're away from work, politics and the daily grind.

I'm sitting on the rear patio now, hijacking somebody's unsecure wireless connection and checking out the thunderstorms back home on the radar. Poor bastards... I'm enjoying a nice glass of wine, and we're heading down to the beach tonight for what promises to be a very bright moon over the Atlantic ocean.

For those of you on the left coast, I feel bad for you. The difference in water temperature here compared to out there is unbelievable. The water here is cool enough to be refreshing, but warm enough to stay in it for hours on end.

Well, I must go now, my glass is empty and I'm doing everything I can to avoid logging on to Fox News to see what Political Nightmares may be occuring while I'm away. Enjoy your work week. Oh, by the way, the crab legs here are fantastic! The shrimp isn't bad either. If you get the chance, get down here because life is better when you're on the beach...

Documents Support Saddam-Taliban Connection

Here that? That the democrats falling on their faces...

Fox News is reporting, Former CIA directed Iraq Survey Group Ray Robison has examined efforts by Hussein "to build and hide WMD, and has supervised a group of linguists to analyze, archive and exploit documents and materials of Saddam's regime." Link

From another story on Fox News, a document "captured in Iraq but never before seen by the public, offers glimmers of new insight at the Pentagon's Foreign Military Studies Office website."

This particular document mentions two men with similar names, each with ties to Pakistani religious schools known as madrassas, Jihad training camps, the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

This original translation by my translator-colleague, who goes by the nom de guerre of "Sammi," comes from a notebook kept by an Iraqi intelligence agent. It provides evidence of a cooperative, operational relationship agreed to at the highest levels of the Iraqi government and the Taliban. The notebook is lengthy and we will present it on the FOX News Web site in a series of postings. It deals extensively with meetings between Maulana Fazlur Rahman, an Al Qaeda/Taliban supporter, and Taha Yassin Ramadan, the former vice president of Iraq, and other unnamed Iraqi officials.

I think I just heard Nancy Pelosi, Al Gore, John Kerry, and Howard Dean screaming...

Yo Mr. President, Happy Birthday

Allow me to explain, the 'Yo'...

Back in November of 2004, the morning after the election, I posted the pick below in celebration and recognition of his huge victory, despite having the hell beat out of him by the liberal media, Michael, the Schmore, Moore, and the Dems. Little did I know at that time, there's more to that picture than most might know. The President, and the man that image is modled after, of course I mean Rocky Balboa himself, Mr. Sylvester Stallone were born on the same day, in the same year, 1946. Congratulations to you both on reaching 60. Sad to say, you're both in better shape than I am.

230 Years of Independence, and Counting

May God grant us another 230...



230 Years ago, 56 men came together declared to the world that there are some truths that are self-evident. "That all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Shakespeare himself would have been impressed with those words.

In signing the Declaration of Independenceee, those 56 men decided to risk everything they had for an idea. An idea that was considered to be treason. Think about that. I know, these days we throw that word around as a means of political discourse, but this was real life, in your face, I'm willing to die for it, treason. They held illegal meetings, conspired against a king, and then did not hide from these facts. They essentially confessed to these crimes in writing, in pursuit of something bigger than themselves.

And for that declaration, many of those 56 Patriots paid dearly. Many were captured or killed during the Revolution. Many lost their estates. Two of them lost sons to the War. And while two of the signers would later become President, and others would be Senators and Governors, they all felt the price paid by so many to give the People the right to govern themselves. They knew this going in and had the courage to carry on.

And I thank God for that courage. The courage they had then, and the courage our men and women in the Armed Forces have today. We have more fortune, more freedoms, more opportunity than in any other country in the world and courage is the reason why. It takes courage to lay your life on the line for our country. Some in our country just don't get that. I believe it was General George Patton that said "Freedom has a taste, and for those who fought for it, the taste is so sweet, the protected will never know it." Think about that today while you eat your hamburgers and hotdogs. Think about that when you watch the fireworks tonight. Remember the men and women that are protecting us. Remember those that are willing to spendthis Independenceee Day in a far off land, away from their families. Enjoy your families and remember what this day is all about.

A Joke For You

Two Arabs boarded a flight out of London. One took a window seat and the other sat next to him in the middle seat. Just before takeoff, a Marine sat down in the aisle seat. After takeoff, the Marine kicked his shoes off, wiggled his toes and was settling in when the Arab in the window seat said, "I need to get up and get a coke."

"Don't get up," said the Marine, "I'm in the aisle seat, I'll get it for you."

As soon as he left, one of the Arabs picked up the Marines shoe and spat in it. When the Marine returned with the coke, the other Arab said, "That looks good, I'd really like one, too." Again, the Marine obligingly went to fetch it. While he was gone the other Arab picked up the Marines other shoe and spat in it.

When the Marine returned, they all sat back and enjoyed the flight. As the plane was landing, the Marine slipped his feet into his shoes and knew immediately what had happened.

"Why does it have to be this way?" he asked. "How long must this go on, this fighting between our nations? This hatred? This animosity? This spitting in shoes and pissing in cokes?"
