Trying to Catch Up...

My apologies for being missing in action these past couple of weeks, it's been a crazy time. So, let me catch up on a few things...

Imams On A Plane

Yes, we all heard about the 6 Imams that got escorted off of a US Airways flight for suspecious behavior and we've all heard the outrage from the Muslim community. It should come as no surprise that now 5 of the 6 Imams want an out of court settlement for the actions taken against them.

Call me insensitive, but when someone that looks Middle Eastern starts yelling Allah Akbhar before you get on a plane, then making anti-American statements on the plane, and then moving around on the plane away from their assigned seats, people are going to get a little bit edgy. Duh! You add in the fact that these apparently thin men were asking for seatbelt extensions that I don't even need and you've got ample cause for concern.

My guess, they were probing security precautions to see exactly what they could get away with or they were looking for a lawsuit. Or perhaps, and I'm just thinking out loud here, what happens when the next group of Muslims get on a plane and do the same thing? Knowing our willingness to fall all over ourselves to be sensitive and politically correct, we do nothing, opening the door to yet another hijacking. Sounds crazy I know, but there is nothing sane about what some of these people are willing to do and the lengths they're willing to go to in order to accomplish they're goal. Do I think these guys were terrorists? No, I doubt it. But willing supporters of those wish harm on Western Civilization, I'd say more than likely.

I say let this go to court. I hope US Airways fights this tooth and nail. They can then subpoena pretty much anything they want, including the minutes of the conference they had attended in Minneapolis. If we can't bug those conferences, let's subpoena their records in a civil action that they so brazenly are willing to bring.

Iraq Surrender Group, I mean Study Group...

Never in my life have I seen so many people so happy to see a report that recommends accepting defeat. And a defeat is exactly what an early pull out of Iraq would be. If you think there is any possible way that Al Qaeda won't use that as propoganda for years to come, you're delusional. I'm not saying we stay in Iraq to save face. I'm saying we stay in Iraq and kill our enemies. I'm saying we stay in Iraq until we win.

No, I'm not happy with the war in Iraq. And if a pollster were to call me this evening, I'd tell him that. But not because I don't think we should be there. But because I'm tired of pussy-footing around with these assholes. I'm tired of our troops being hung out to dry by Washington pussies that have never heard a shot fired in anger. I'm tired of the reports of dead Americans but no reports about dead terrorists. I'm tired of the United States being painted as occupiers and not liberators. So, yes, I'm tired of the war. But guess what, being tired is not an excuse for failure. This is far too important for us to waver because people don't like it. Nobody likes war. But when you're faced with an enemy that will not stop until they have won, you have no choice but to fight.
