Hey Hillary, Your True Nature is Showing

And it's not a pretty sight...

The American Heritage Dictionary defines Socialism as:
1. Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.

2. The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved.
You see that? The Marxist-Leninist theory. You may recall the Soviet Union. The attempt by communists to perfect society following the theories of Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin. You may remember a time in this country when our sworn enemy were the Soviets. Why? Because communism doesn't promote freedom. It never has and it never will.

Well, now we have our very own Socialist running for President. And apparently, in front of the right crowd, she's willing to admit it.

Clinton: Shared Prosperity Should Replace 'On Your Own' Society

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.

The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an ownership society really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.

"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none.

She clearly envisions an America that takes from the rich and gives to the poor. And it's one thing for Robin Hood to do that in a fairy tale. In real life, it never works. Granted, this isn't her brainstorm. Lyndon Johnson tried it with has Great Society initiatives and look where that has gotten us 40 years and $6.4 Trillion dollars later.

And that last sentence quoted above, "It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none" is a text book example of a class envy tactic. Get the poor on your side by appealing to what they resent, the rich. A socialist tactic used time and time again. And when exactly did "and special privleges for none" get added to the American Tradition? Funny, I don't recall ever seing that anywhere before...

The problem with disparaging the rich is, we all want to be rich. I don't know anybody that would prefer to be poor rather than wealthy. Not one person. So, when you start disparaging the rich, you're disparaging what it takes to become rich. This country is considered the land of opportunity because of what freedom provides. Freedom provides you the opportunity to become successful. And millions have come here and done just that. And haven't they earned the privilege they've obtained? But our friendly Neo-Commie Senator from New York wants to follow in the footsteps of Marx and rule by his theory of "From each according to his means, to each according to their needs." And I'm sorry, but that is about as un-American as you can be.

This woman is dangerous. She is a danger to our Republic, for which it stands. And probably what is most dangerous about her is her ability to win. For some reason, people think she's great. Well, I'm sorry, but if we are at a point when we consider a socialist to be great, then our country is truly lost. As a nation, we have fought the evils of communism for most of our history. Thousands have worked, bled, and died to defeat it. And this woman is using communist philosophy to campaign for President. And the sad part is, she stands a very good chance at winning.

I'll leave you with a scary quote from a former Presidential Candidate. A quote that keeps me awake at night and should wake you all up to exactly what we're letting happen.
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." Norman Thomas, former U.S. Socialist Presidential Candidate.

A Shift by Global Warming Scientists

Imagine that...

So it seems we've had some scientists that have changed their minds. And apparently, there are more to come. According to the story, Climate Momentum Shifting: Prominent Scientists Reverse Belief in Man-made Global Warming - Now Skeptics it would seem that there are quite a few people changing their minds on man-made Global Warming. And I quote:

Many former believers in catastrophic man-made global warming have recently reversed themselves and are now climate skeptics. The names included below are just a sampling of the prominent scientists who have spoken out recently to oppose former Vice President Al Gore, the United Nations, and the media driven "consensus” on man-made global warming.

Some of those scientists include:

Geophysicist Dr. Claude Allegre, a top geophysicist and French Socialist who has authored more than 100 scientific articles and 11 books. Allegre, who was one of the first scientists to sound global warming fears 20 years ago, now says the cause of climate change is "unknown" and accused the “prophets of doom of global warming” of being motivated by money, noting that "the ecology of helpless protesting has become a very lucrative business for some people!"

Really? People make money off saving the planet from the evil corporations? I'm shocked! (note sarcasm)

Geologist Bruno Wiskel of the University of Alberta recently reversed his view of man-made climate change and instead became a global warming skeptic. Wiskel was once such a big believer in man-made global warming that he set out to build a “Kyoto house” in honor of the UN sanctioned Kyoto Protocol which was signed in 1997. Wiskel wanted to prove that the Kyoto Protocol’s goals were achievable by people making small changes in their lives. But after further examining the science behind Kyoto, Wiskel reversed his scientific views completely and became such a strong skeptic, that he recently wrote a book titled “The Emperor's New Climate: Debunking the Myth of Global Warming.”

A Kyoto house? Wow. Now he was a believer. Was, being the operative word...

Mathematician & engineer Dr. David Evans, who did carbon accounting for the Australian Government, recently detailed his conversion to a skeptic. “I devoted six years to carbon accounting, building models for the Australian government to estimate carbon emissions from land use change and forestry. When I started that job in 1999 the evidence that carbon emissions caused global warming seemed pretty conclusive, but since then new evidence has weakened the case that carbon emissions are the main cause. I am now skeptical,”

So, once this scientist, hired by a government, really started looking into it, he didn't buy it. Imagine that...

Climate researcher Dr. Tad Murty, former Senior Research Scientist for Fisheries and Oceans in Canada, also reversed himself from believer in man-made climate change to a skeptic. “I stated with a firm belief about global warming, until I started working on it myself,” Murty explained on August 17, 2006. “I switched to the other side in the early 1990's when Fisheries and Oceans Canada asked me to prepare a position paper and I started to look into the problem seriously,” Murty explained. Murty was one of the 60 scientists who wrote an April 6, 2006 letter urging withdrawal of Kyoto to Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper which stated in part, "If, back in the mid-1990s, we knew what we know today about climate, Kyoto would almost certainly not exist, because we would have concluded it was not necessary.”

Kyoto is not necessary... Really. Isn't that what we evil, right wing, fascist animal haters have been saying all along? Yeah, I do believe it to be so...

That's just a few of the many. And according to the story, that list "is just the tip of the iceberg. A more detailed and comprehensive sampling of scientists who have only recently spoken out against climate hysteria will be forthcoming in a soon to be released U.S. Senate report"

Again, I don't claim to be any kind of climate expert, but I do follow politics very close. And if ever there has been an issue that is completely driven by politics, it is Global Warming. Think about it. The leading spokesman for the Global Warming issue is a professional politician that couldn't even beat George W. Bush in 2000. That alone should convince you that the issue of man-made Global warming is purely political. You add in the fact Al Gore th is one leading the man-made Global Warming movement, that should convince you that it is also completely wrong.

Update on The Vermont Plot

Well, now I'm confused...

According to the Gateway Pundit, the alleged conversation never took place:

UPDATE: ** The Senator and Governor Never Spoke. **
I just got off the phone with Brian Hart a spokesman from Senator Brownback's office and he said that the conversation in question between Senator Brownback and Governor Sebelius did not take place. (Friday AM)

So, perhaps somebody hung ol' Quinn out to dry.

Interesting side note. Lawyers from the DNC sent XM Radio a letter demanding a retraction from Quinn and stating:

The statement made by Mr. Quinn is demonstrable, unequivocally, and absolutely false. Governor Dean had no such conversation with Governor Sebelius, ever.

Two letters sent out. One to XM Satellite Radio and one to FreeRepublic.com:

Letter to XM Radio

Letter to FreeRepublic.com

Something stinks here...

UPDATE: Wed. 05/16/07 As of yet, Quinn and Rose have not retracted anything despite the threats from the lawyers for the DNC. And still the DNC does nothing. I'm guessing this story is dieing out and I have my own theories as to why. But I can't prove anything so I'll keep the theories to myself. But know this, I'll be keeping this little nugget in mind come time to vote in the Republican Primaries...

The Vermont Plot

This is interesting...

There was some interesing theories going around talk radio yesterday. And this one in particlular is an exclusive from Jim Quinn, from Quinn and Rose in the Morning. You may recall he has read one of my pieces on his show. Anyway, The story is about Howard Dean and other leading dems giving instruction, or orders, to the Governor of Kansas and what she should say to the media. Give it a listen...

This is the short version, just the report. Longer version with more background is posted below:

Obama Overstates Tornado Deaths By Nearly 10K

Overstates? I'd say so...

From the story:

RICHMOND, Va. -- Barack Obama, caught up in the fervor of a campaign speech Tuesday, drastically overstated the Kansas tornadoes death toll, saying 10,000 had died.

The death toll was 12.

"In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died -- an entire town destroyed."

Well, the town was detroyed I'm sad to say. But 10,000 people? Ok, a gaf... Sure. But then he goes on to say:

"Turns out that the National Guard in Kansas only had 40 percent of its equipment and they are having to slow down the recovery process in Kansas."

But the National Guard reports the following:

The Kansas National Guard has 88 percent of its forces available and is working quickly and aggressively to save lives and reduce suffering, Guard Bureau officials reported. More than 6,800 additional Kansas Guard troops can be tapped, if needed, as well as more than 80,000 Guardsmen from surrounding states, Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman told reporters today.

Kansas Guardsmen responding to the disaster have 60 percent of their Army Guard dual-use equipment and more than 85 percent of their Air Guard equipment on and, officials said.

88% of Kansas National Guardsman forces and 85% of it's equipment on hand...

So, Obama follows the lead of Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius (D) and uses the fact that a town has been destroyed, 12 people dead, to once again politicize the war in Iraq?

One, a Presidential candidate has no business following the lead of a governor. Two, using this disaster to attack the war that we are currently fighting is yet another demonstration of the level these people will sink to.

"The Hamas Television is using a clone of Disney’s Mickey Mouse to teach children to hate Israel and America, and aspire to Islam’s inevitable and impending world domination."

Tell me that doesn't make you want to kick somebody in the head...

Islam, a violent religion?

Noooooo... Surely not.

So, this is interesting:

Azeris jailed for 'insulting Islam'

From the story:

A court in Azerbaijan has jailed two journalists for writing and printing a newspaper article that was critical of the Islamic religion and its founder, Muhammad.

Samir Sadagatoglu, chief editor of the Senet weekly newspaper, was sentenced to four years in prison on Friday, while Rafik Tagi, a journalist at the paper, was given three years.

The court ruled that their article 'Europe and us' was insulting to Islam and Muslims for saying that European societies were more successful than Muslim ones because Christian teachings were based on peace and tolerance while Islamic values, based on the teachings and actions of Muhammad, were not.

"It was announced during sentencing that ... the article contained ideas charged with hatred for Islam and the Prophet Mohammad and these actions of the paper were directed towards inciting religious hatred and enmity," the court's spokesman said after the guilty verdict was announced.

The newspaper article provoked widespread anger in Azerbaijan, a secular but predominantly Shia Muslim country, and elsewhere in the region when it was first published on November 9, 2006.

But that's not the best part. This is:

Soon after the article appeared, an Iranian cleric - angered by its depiction of Islam as a violent religion - offered his house to anyone who killed the journalists, Reuters reported on Friday.

Yeah, I can't imagine why anyone would say Islam is a violent religion... (Note sarcarsm)
